Game day and appointments

What is this?

Everything on the calendar is an appointment: training, a match, or another event. A game day lives under Game days, belongs to your account, and is a shareable public page with name, date, venue and schedule.

Why it matters

• Keep team operations (who is coming?) separate from tournament info for opponents or spectators.
• Being able to see an appointment, being nominated, and having RSVP’d are three different things.
• A game day survives team switches and team deletion.

How it works

1. Coaches create appointments — one-off or as a series. By default nobody is nominated.
2. Participants are players. The coaching staff is automatically included, but not nominated.
3. RSVP is Yes, No or Maybe. Parents answer for children. Coaches can mark unexcused.
4. Optional: must-confirm or must-decline mode, a deadline, and a participant cap. When the cap is full, only coaches can still confirm.
5. Public means the team or club can see the appointment. Private means only nominees and parents. Only nominees can RSVP either way.
6. Club appointments draw from the member pool and have no coaching-staff group. Admins and youth leads can create them.
7. Your overview and calendar show every team plus visible club appointments. Team appointments do not appear club-wide.
8. You build a game day in the wizard (teams, timetable, pairings). Publish makes the page public. A draft stays private.
9. Share the public game-day page with a link or QR code. Results use a separate link.

FAQ

Is a match a game day? No. A match is a team appointment. A game day is the public tournament page.

Can I see an appointment without being nominated? If it is public, yes — without your own RSVP. If it is private, only as a nominee, parent, creator or coach.

Do I get an email when the time changes? No. The calendar is the source. A cancellation only notifies people in the next seven days.
