Invite links

What is this?

Shared links instead of creating accounts by hand. After sign-in or registration you join a team, join a club, attach a team to a club, or connect a department. Shared access for a second parent is its own single-use link.

Why it matters

  • Coaches grow the team without making anyone an admin.
  • A club can take members before the roster is planned.
  • A department is connected with a code — not through a public standing link.

How it works

  1. Team (on the roster under Invite links): coaches and admins. Reusable. Validity 7, 14, 30 or 90 days — or never. Delete blocks new joins.
  2. When you open the link you play yourself or add a child. A club-team link tells you that you are joining the club.
  3. Optionally the link nominates people to future appointments — all, by kind, selected, or none. The default is Do not add.
  4. Club — invite members: admin and youth lead. You join yourself or add a child, same as the team link. The person (or child) lands in the pool without a team. On a main club there is no such choice — the link only creates admins.
  5. Club — invite a team: only the team owner can accept. It cannot be undone: members become club members and the owner becomes a club coach.
  6. Invite department: single-use, link plus a 6-digit code, no recipient email field.
  7. Shared access and youth-account handoff: each of these links is single-use and valid for 14 days.
  8. Expired, revoked or already-used links show a clear error.
  9. QR code: Any active team, club, department, or shared-access link can be shown as a QR code of the invite URL. It fills the page, carries the Neely mark in the center, and is labelled with the team, club, or child. On the web you download that picture as a PNG or print it. In the app the page is only the code; you copy the link from the list. For a department invite, the 6-digit code is still handed over separately and is never part of the QR code.

FAQ

Does the team link expire after one join? No. Only department, family and youth-account links are single-use.

Does the email have to match the link? Not for team, club or department links.

Can a coach attach a team to the club? No, only the team owner.
